Twelve years since their inaugural festival with just two stages, ten bands and a relatively modest 22,000 visitors, France’s most famous rock musical festival Rock en Seine returns for another year with a staggering five stages and over sixty artists in just three days.

While the likes of Muse, Radiohead and Morrissey have graced the Rock en Seine stages over the years, they’ve pushed the boat out this year with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Libertines, Alt-J, Years And Years and even angsty 2000s teen favourite The Offspring. Full line-up below:

Meanwhile the Avant-Seine stage sees new, emerging French artists given a chance to perform to huge crowds, having been chosen by a stellar jury of music professionals. This year six artists have been selected: Jeanne Added, Forever Pavot, Last Train, Vkng, Dbfc, and We Are Match.
Festival partner CNV is have organised a series of workshops for Rock en Seine 2015 on all elements of the music industry, to help budding musicians, agents, scouts, producers and so on figure out how to get started.

Want a change from all the hair-tossing, beer-throwing rock music? Like any respectable modern music festival, Rock en Seine have put on a host of other attractions including:
Mini Rock en Seine
A child-sized mini festival held in away from the crowds, this is where kids aged 6-10 can enjoy workshops, colouring walls, dance clubs, music mash-up sessions, a reading corner, dressing up, games, culinary classes and plenty more.
Le Village du Disque
Still buying music in CD or LP form? Head to Le Village du Disque, where a series of Parisian record shops and labels have set up shop for three days selling their finest wares while dispensing advice on new artists and old favourites. They’re also holding DJ workshops and demos with Pioneer, the infamous DJ equipment brand.
Rock en Seine invites 40 illustrators, cartoonists, underground cartoonists, and screen printers to create art based on the festival program. The subsequent exhibition will be open during the three days of the festival, on the lawns of the park in front of the Big Waterfall. You can also get the chance to meet the illustrators at certain times of day.
Rock en Seine takes place from Friday August 28th until Sunday August 30th. Day tickets start at €49.
